The Industrial Footprint Manager leads the implementation of global product and equipment transfer projects as part of the company’s industrial footprint strategy. You ensure that relocations across manufacturing sites are structured, planned, and executed, coordinating all technical, logistical, and operational aspects to enable cost-effective, timely, and quality-compliant transfers.

Your Tasks

  • Lead global product and machine relocation projects: Manage the full transfer process from planning through ramp-up, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and compliance with project targets.
  • Coordinate cross-functional and cross-site collaboration: Work closely with local plant teams, engineering, logistics, quality, and controlling to execute relocations effectively and in alignment with strategic plans.
  • Develop and manage transfer project plans: Create detailed relocation schedules, including decommissioning, shipment, reinstallation, and validation activities, aligned with resource availability and operational constraints.
  • Support execution of the industrial footprint roadmap: Translate strategic footprint goals into operational transfer projects and adjust planning based on business and operational requirements.
  • Monitor project risks, financial impact, and deliverables: Track relocation KPIs, manage Capex and cost impact evaluations, and implement risk mitigation plans to secure delivery performance.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Technology, or Supply Chain Management
  • Over 5 years of professional experience in operations, industrialization, or plant engineering, with direct involvement in relocation, transfer, and re-industrialization projects.
  • Strong knowledge of international plant networks and manufacturing footprint strategies.
  • Competences and professional skills: Strong in project management, planning, and coordination, Solid financial awareness (Capex, TCO, ramp-up/down planning), Structured problem-solving with high travel flexibility and resilience
  • Personal requirements / qualifications: Strong planning, execution, and coordination skills with high mobility and flexibility, Confident in cross-functional, cross-cultural collaboration and persistent in long-term projects
  • Fluency in English is required; German and/or French is a plus.
